Game Dev Bridge is a website created to connect the many differently skilled
individuals in the games industry.
The primary goal is to help you find your ideal team members for an indie team,
whether you're starting out, have been laid off recently or just want to work in a team.
In the current industry climate, there are increasingly more job seekers than there are jobs;
that means we have to make our own roles if the demand will not increase appropriately. To create solid teams, you need
to forge bonds between like-minded individuals with the right skills for a project.
This is the stepping-off point that Game Dev Bridge was made for so you can find these individuals who also want to work together.
"How much data is stored by Game Dev Bridge?"
The absolute minimum possible to be secure. Just your email address, a password used for the site and a contact link.
Everything else will only be information displayed on your profile. The contact link will only be available to bridged mutuals.
"Why use this website instead of similar sites like GameDevFinder or Develteam?"
The aim of this website is to bring devs together. While other sites do this, I've noticed there's usually no
rough location of devs, impeding meeting up locally.
"Are there any planned features for the website?"
There are plans for a game dev event map to make it easier to meet up in a local environment, though less lofty goals are
higher priority, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
If you have any issues with the website, would like to give feedback or even suggest new features,
please contact me at "gamedevbridge@gmail.com".
This website was created and is kept up solely by Rory Simpson.
I am not looking for any monetary gain from this website,
it is made to help out a community/industry that is struggling.
That being said, there are upkeep costs for the website so I'd greatly appreciate small donations if it has been useful to you.
